Silence

Silence.

It's a wonderful thing to share. Especially with the one you decide to share everything for the rest of your life.
Silence is serene.
It's shared in a relationship where words lose their essence, because actions speak louder. You don't need to speak to understand each other. You can see it in their eyes and hear it in their breath.
You're sitting in a cafe having your favourite food and you just look at them and smile. There's silence for a while and both of you giggle. You spoke a thousand words in those few seconds.

Remember that phone call that went until 4AM in the night?
They were
crying and so were you. You could hear them sob on the other side of the phone and even without saying a word, they knew you were there for them, keeping quiet, shedding tears and feeling the pain along.

Silence was there again after a fight. You were very rude to them and spoke of things you shouldn't have. Words took over your relationship and that's when silence came in. You stopped talking for a while, not just because you were angry and hurt, but also because both of you needed time to get back to normal, where silence was comfortable and not this ugly feeling.

Silence is what defines relationships. It's comfort when you're in love and suffocating when you're out of it.
But, you can only remain silent with two people.
One, with a stranger you've never met.
The other, with a person who turned into a stranger.

Cheers ❤️
